Serving others allows us to join in with what God is doing. When we serve, we are given joy and a purpose. By using our God given gifts, we help advance the Kingdom and spread the Gospel.

At Northwest, we prioritize partnering with local and international missions. The following local ministries have opportunities for you to serve and support them.
Campus Crusade for Christ (CCF) at WWU cares deeply for Western’s campus, for the Bellingham community, and for the world, so you’ll find them sharing the good news about Jesus wherever them go – on campus, in residence halls, in local nursing homes, and across the world.
Lighthouse Mission works throughout Whatcom County to break the cycle of homelessness in the lives of people experiencing it. Because of the generosity of people like you, those in need can come to the Mission for nutritious meals, safe shelter, and one-on-one case management.
Skookum Kids is built around a single big idea: that if we take great care of people, the mission will take care of itself. So we work really hard to make this a delightful place to volunteer and be a foster parent.
For over 25 years, the Whatcom County Pregnancy Clinic has been dedicated to educating, equipping, and empowering individuals and families facing an unplanned pregnancy. They offer a compassionate and confidential environment for patients to be heard and to receive accurate information and medical care.
At Christmas time, the Bellingham Community Toy Store offers a shopping experience to provide toys for a fraction of their retail cost. Donations and volunteers are appreciated. Stay tuned for more details.
