Christmas is a great time for us to share the love of Christ in our community. This year, we have decided to serve with the Community Toy Store.
The Community Toy Store provides a unique opportunity for struggling families in Whatcom County to get assistance in purchasing holiday gifts for their children. This is not a handout, but a way to help them provide for themselves. The program allows families the dignity and joy of purchasing their family's toys while being contributing members of their community. The proceeds from the toy sales go back to non-profit agencies that work with families in our county.
They are hoping to offer an amazing assortment of toys, books, arts and crafts supplies, outdoor gear, and other items that would delight a child, as well as clothing gift cards for teens, all donated by local churches, individuals, and other organizations. These items are priced at 75-90% off regular retail prices and made available to purchase by families in need in the Roosevelt Elementary School gym on the second Saturday of December.

Places to serve include: check-in, food service, greeting, visiting with families, spanish interpretation, parking lot, restocking, and cashiers.
